COPPA NOTICE: Direct Notice to Parents

The KidPickers.com ("the Site") Privacy Policy describes how the Site collects and uses personal information. You can review the Site's Privacy Policy by clicking on the words "Privacy Policy" above.

This COPPA NOTICE: Direct Notice to Parents ("COPPA Notice") gives parents additional information on the Site's practices in collecting and using personal information from children under 14 years of age.

Who operates the Site?

Mossy Point Productions, an Iowa Limited Liability Company, was developed and is currently being managed by a unique group of individuals with a singular purpose: to build a SAFE and nurturing online environment for children 7-13 years old where they can create, connect, and collaborate with their peers.

This site is approved by Mike Wolfe, owner of Antique Archaeolgoy and creator of American Pickers on HISTORY, and managed by a professional staff.

What information does the Site collect and use?

As described in the Privacy Policy, we collect personally identifiable information directly from parents to acquire a paid membership for their children to become users of the Site. The types of personally identifiable information that may be collected at that time include the parent's full name, parent's billing address, parent's email address, parent's credit card billing information, child's name, child's birth date (so that the Site can generate a birthday calendar), and child's town. The Site does not condition a child's participation in an online activity on the child providing more personal information than is reasonably necessary for that activity. After the parent has completed the registration process, the child is enrolled as a member and we may then obtain additional information, including personally identifiable information, from the child to supplement the information provided by the parent in the registration process.

How does the Site collect this information?

Parents submit personally identifiable information about their children during the registration process. After the parent has completed the registration process, the child is enrolled as a member and we may then obtain additional information, including personally identifiable information, from the child to supplement the information provided by the parent in the registration process. The Site does not use cookies, GIFs, Web beacons or similar technology to collect personally identifiable information.

How will the Site use this information?

The Site uses the personally identifiable information provided by the parents and children solely for internal operating purposes, including to provide membership services, for record keeping and billing.

Does the Site share this information with any third parties?

The Site only uses personally identifiable information about children for internal operating purposes and does not share personal information received from parents or children about children with third parties, except as required to run the internal operations of the Site. Any and all third party vendors involved in performing the services required for the internal operations of the Site are required to uphold the terms of the Privacy Policy.

How does the Site get consent from parents for the collection of personal information?

To create an account on the KidPickers.com website a parent completes the registration process for his or her child. To create a membership account for the child on the Site the parent must, among other requirements, (a) provide information about the parent and his/her child as prompted by our registration processes, (b) agree to the Terms of Use (c) review and consent to the Site's practices in collecting and using personal information from children under 13 years of age as specified in this COPPA Notice and the Privacy Policy COPPA Consent") and (d) submit the parent's credit card information to pay the fees required to use the Site.

A parent's affirmative COPPA Consent during the registration process means that such parent consents to the collection, use and disclosure of the personally identifiable information of his or her child in accordance with the Privacy Policy and has reviewed this COPPA Notice.
